Entry & Bath
Every guest room will have a private entrance accessible from our enchanting Japanese garden. Each room will have a private bath that can open to nature, a 12-mat Tatami room, sunken desk and sun-soaked balcony. The room will include detailed touches with local artwork and flowers.
Entry (Genkan)
Upon entering their Washitsu room, guests will encounter a minimalist design crafted for serene relaxation.
- The stepped entryway facilitating the transition from outdoor shoes to indoor slippers per Japanese tradition.
- Additionally, guests will enjoy a customized stone garden accent, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
- Two Fusuma doors conceal the luggage and wardrobe area, adorned with picturesque landscapes from the Finger Lakes region.
Bath (Private)
Each guest bathroom will exemplify minimal luxury, featuring intentionally crafted amenities such as
- Japanese Toto toilet
- a wet-room shower
- private bath with windows opening onto an adjoining private garden
Washitsu Tatami Guest Room & Engawa
Each guestroom is furnished in traditional 12-mat Tatami with futon beds and a Tokonoma alcove showcasing local art, adding to the authentic ambiance. Additionally, a built-in desk provides convenience for guests while not sacrificing the contemplative esthetic.
The Washitsu room serves as a versatile space, functioning not only as a bedroom but as a multipurpose area where guests can check in upon arrival and enjoy one meal during their stay.
