秋の麒麟草 (あき の きりんそう) [Akinokirinsō] : Goldenrod
Solidago virgaurea subsp. asiatica
秋 (あき ) [Aki] : Autumn
の[No] : Of
麒麟草 (きりんそう) [Kirinsō] : Phedimus aizoon var. floribundus
It is so named because its flowers, which bloom in autumn, resemble those of Kirinsō, which bloom in summer.
